Good News!

Dear ACTS Friend,

Here's the good news ... as of today (the day of writing) our Internet and E-mail ministry is about 90% back up and running after the mess caused by the three malicious "hacker attackers" back in July. PTL for this, and a million thanks for your prayers.

Overcoming this challenge has taken endless hours of extra work, not only by me, but also by the technical support company we use. Years of web building has had to be rebuilt to include protection from future hacker attacks. Fixing the sending of Daily and Weekend Encounters on the new server has also taken a tremendous amount of work.

Fortunately, Daily Encounter is again going to our 183,000+ worldwide subscribers every weekday, and Weekend Encounter is now going to our 10,500+ subscribers every weekend. That's 4 million positive, inspirational and gospel messages we are sending every month—worldwide.

Numerous subscribers have e-mailed to say how much they missed Daily and Weekend Encounter while we were down, and are grateful to be receiving them again. Following are just two of the constant thank-you letters we receive all year from subscribers:

D. J. from Sydney, Australia: "Your Daily Encounters have been a great blessing for me and the people I forward them to. Some think that it is one of the most mature devotionals that they have ever red."

Getting us back up and running has been a very expensive exercise. Outside technical support has cost close to $9,000 for July, August and September. There will also be more tech support expense for October to get us back up 100%.

Your continued prayer support for total recovery and God's protection from malicious hacker-attacks will be greatly appreciated. Please pray, too, for God's continued provision and that he will continue to use the ACTS ministry to reach multiplied thousands of people worldwide with the saving gospel message of Jesus Christ this and every month—all year long.

We are also tremendously thankful for all our regular supporters. You are a vital part of ACTS gospel outreach ministry. In fact, without your help, we couldn't continue to keep publishing the gospel. If you are not a regular supporter, your generous help at this time is a very pressing need and will also be greatly appreciated.
